Brief info

Dr Sam Williams is an experienced marine biologist, with a Bachelor of Science, Majoring in Marine Biology, a Bachelor of Science Honours and a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD).

Sam currently works as a Senior Fisheries Biologist for Animal Science Queensland, leading the development of research project. Sam's role involves the development of research proposals to address key information gaps related to Queensland fish and fisheries resources. Sam is also currently working as a Adjunct Research Fellow for the University of Queensland.

While working hard over the years, Dr Sam has also received multiple awards for his work towards sustainable fisheries, including the award for Excellence in Recreational Fishing Innovation and Leadership 2019 at the Australian Recreational Fishing awards.
